    Day 1: Saigon - Arrival

    Meet on arrival at Ho Chi Minh City / Tan Son Nhat International Airport and transfer to the hotel.

    Hotel rooms may not be ready until 14:00 hours but an early check-in would be guaranteed with a surcharge. The rest of the day is at leisure. Subject to your arrival time, you may want to venture out to explore the city on your own or join one of our wonderful optional excursions in and around Ho Chi Minh City.

    Day 2: Saigon – Cai Be - Saigon 

    Mekong Delta Cai Be Princess Cruise (Full Day) - 08:00 hours

    Explore the rich cultural traditions and natural beauty of the Mekong River from a traditional sampan.

    Embark on this Mekong River journey with a transfer to Cai Be, a 2.5-hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City. In Cai Be, board the 'Cai Be Princess', a comfortable sampan boat built in the traditional Vietnamese style. Slowly make your way along the 'Mighty Mekong', sailing towards the site of the Cai Be Floating Market (The market is at its best around 6 O’clock in the morning but you can still see a handful of wholesalers on big barges specializing in different types of fruits and vegetables). A delicious lunch follows at Le Longanier, a superb Indochinese villa located in a tropical garden by the river. After lunch, the sampan effortlessly transports you to Dong Hoa Phu canal, passing several islands famous for their fruit orchards along the way. Sit back, relax and enjoy the views. On the way back to the pier, you'll have a final stop & an opportunity to explore either the An Binh Ancient Church or the Tam Ho Bonsai Garden. Concludeyour tour with a transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City.

    You’ll visit the Reunification Hall, renowned for its symbolic role in the fall of Saigon in 1975, then visit the War Remnants Museum, that contains exhibits relating to the successive wars in Vietnam.

    You'll have a photo stop in front of the Notre Dame Cathedral, the spiritual and cultural crucible of the French presence in the Orient and the Central Post Office that resembles a grand railway station.

    Transfer to the Airport for your flight to Danang.

    Day 4: Danang – Hoi An - Danang - Essential Hoi An (Half-Day) - 08:00 hours

    Depart from the hotel in Danang to Hoi An to explore the Ancient Town and its surrounds. Hoi An was a major trading centre of Southeast Asia in the 16th century. Hoi An is a mix of Chinese and Vietnamese cultures with low, tile roof houses and narrow streets. The original structure of these streets is still largely intact. Many houses are made of rare timbers and are decorated with panels engraved with Chinese characters and ornately carved pillars. On this excursion, take a boat ride to a boat builder’s yard and woodcarvers, and visit a pottery and brick-making village. After returning to the town, have a tour on foot through the ancient heart of Hoi An. As you stroll around the city, discover some of the historic merchant and community houses, places of worship and the famous Japanese covered bridge.

    Return to Danang in the afternoon.

    Day 5: Danang - Hanoi - Essential Danang City (Half-Day) - 08:00 hours

    Bedazzled by the charm and elegance of Danang, the young and vibrant city on the banks of Han River. The first stop on this tour is the Cham Museum in Danang, home to perhaps the finest collection of stunning Champa sculptures. Some of these ancient artefacts are believed to date back to as far as the 7th century. After the museum, enjoy a picturesque one-hour cyclo ride along the tranquil Han River and stop to explore a lively local market. Enjoy the surrounds and observe the delightful chaos of local life here in the city. Visit the towering Marble Mountains, a scenic spot with beautiful caves, temples, shrines, historic pagodas and a truly unforgettable view of the surrounding area. Reach the caves by climbing steep steps or take the elevator to the top (subject to a surcharge).

    Day 6: Hanoi - Hanoi City Highlights (Full Day) - 08:00 hours

    Immerse yourself in Hanoi's fascinating history and culture as you visit and learn about its most famous historical sites.

    This morning begins a private tour of the fascinating city of Hanoi. Your guide will bring you unique insights as well as a local perspective, as you take in the main sights and also some lesser-known spots. Start your tour with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Continue on to explore Ho Chi Minh's former residence. His stilt house reflects the modest way in which he lived. Next up, is the One-Pillar Pagoda a Buddhist temple of historical and cultural significance. We then visit the picturesque Temple of Literature. The Temple was built in 1070 and is known as the first university of Vietnam. It remains close to the heart of intellectuals and the public as a site of great learning and knowledge.

    See Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum from the outside and then walk to visit Quan Thanh Temple. You pass by the offices of the highest state institutions such as the National Assembly Hall, Presidential Palace, Government Office and Party Central Committee, whose architecture bears the influence of the French colonial time, the Soviet era and modern-day western styles. Continue to visit the Temple of Literature, known as the first university of Vietnam and built more than 1,000 years ago, and Hoa Lo Prison Museum or Vietnam National Museum of History (except on the first Monday of the month).

    After lunch, you will enjoy unique museum experiences at one of the most visited museums in the city:

    • Museum of Ethnology

    The tour then continues with a leisurely “cyclo tour” in the old quarter where you will visit the beautiful Hoan Kiem Lake and iconic Ngoc Son Temple

    Day 7: Hanoi – Ha Long Bay with overnight on boat - 09:30 hours

    Pick up at hotel in Hanoi for a drive to Ha Long City. Arriving in Ha Long by noon time and check in at Bhaya Group Cruise Centre at Tuan Chau International Passenger Port.

    Board the Bhaya Classic and settle in to your cabin before heading to the restaurant for a safety briefing. Enjoy a welcome drink and meet the Cruise Manager and the crew. A delicious buffet lunch of Vietnamese dishes is served as the boat cruises towards the southeast of Ha Long Bay, passing picturesque Trong Mai Islet, Ngon Tay Islet, Con Coc Islet and Cua Van Floating Culture Centre. 

    In the afternoon, visit Trinh Nu Cave - one of the most beautiful sunlight-filled caves in Ha Long Bay replete with stunning stalactites and stalagmites. Trinh Nu Cave is an exclusive destination for Bhaya Cruises’ passengers. Learn about the folklore and heritage associated with the cave and why this remains a site of important archaeological discoveries. There is time to take a swim or sunbathe on Trinh Nu Cave’s beautiful private beach before a return to the boat to freshen up for the evening’s activities.

    The boat stops to explore Sung Sot Cave, the largest cave inside Ha Long Bay which holds thousands of stalactites and stalagmites. Wander through the spectacular grotto on a 500-metre paved passageway.

    Afterwards, return to the boat and enjoy the brunch buffet as the boat cruises back to the port, passing scenic Lom Bo Island, Trong Mai Islet and Ba Hang Fishermen Village on the way.

    10:30 hours: Disembark at Tuan Chau International Passenger Port. Pick up for a private transfer back to Hanoi. Arrival to Hanoi. Afternoon at leisure.
