    Day 1: Arrive to Cochin (Kochi)

    Arrival to Cochin airport by flight. Meeting and assistance upon arrival at airport and transfer to hotel for check in. Rest of the day at leisure.

    Evening witness Kathakali dance performance Enjoy India's most spectacular Dance Drama based on stories from Ramayana and Mahabharata. The dancers are elaborately made up with paint and masks, accompanied with drummers and musicians. Overnight stay at hotel

     

    Day 2: Drive From Cochin To Munnar (135 Kms / 4 Hours)

    This morning after breakfast, proceed for the city tour of Kochi.

    Visit the Dutch Palace (Friday closed), the Jewish Synagogue - (which remains closed on Friday & Saturday) St. Francis Church and the Santa Cruz Basilica. While driving along the coastline, at the Harbour’ s mouth, one can also view the unique and still-in-use "Chinese Fishing Nets" which were introduced by the Chinese traders in the 14th Century. The tour ends in the Fort Kochi area where you can walk through the historical Dutch and Portuguese buildings. Some parts of this nearly 500-year-old Fort are still amazingly well preserved.  After sightseeing, leave Cochin and drive to Munnar. Upon arrival, check-in at your hotel and rest. Overnight stay at hotel.

     

     

    Day 3: Munnar

    After breakfast, proceed for the sightseeing of Munnar and visit Mattupetty Dam which is among the most visited destinations in the tourist hotbed of Munnar. It is a beautiful picnic spot that regularly attracts visitors. People love visiting the dam and lake here and families can regularly be seen enjoying a fine afternoon in the area. The view of the valley from here is breath-taking and one gets to simply relax and enjoy the beautiful weather.

    Visit the Tea Museum - Munnar, surprisingly unspoilt, the lush green hill ranges are covered with large plantations of tea, coffee and cardamom and has some of the most breathtakingly beautiful scenic spots. The Tata Tea Museum has showcased some of the most interesting aspects of the genesis and growth of the tea plantations of Kerala's high ranges. The Museum is situated at the Nallathanni Estate of Tata Tea and has on display curios, photographs, and machineries, each depicting a milestone that contributed to the flourishing tea industry of the region. Also visit The CSI Church of Christ is one of the popular sightseeing stops at Munnar. Built by the British in 1910, the church is a popular attraction for those interested in its unique architecture. The church has been built on a rocky outcrop and has some lovely stained glass and brass plaque.

    Day 4: Drive From Munnar To Periyar (90 Kms / 3 Hours)

    This morning after breakfast leave Munnar and drive to Periyar, upon arrival check in at hotel. Later in the afternoon enjoy common boat ride at Lake Periyar. Overnight stay at hotel

     

    Day 5: Drive From Periyar To Kumarakom (115 Kms / 3.5 Hours)

    After leisurely breakfast, visit to a Spice Garden to see cardamom, cinnamon, pepper, cloves, vanilla, ginger and coffee growing in their natural environment. Periyar, at 1000 meters above sea level, has an ideal climate making it perfect for spice growing. Vasco de Gama was the first European to land at the Malabar Coast in 1498 in search of spices. In those days, pepper was known as ‘black gold’ because it was exported against an equal weight of gold. Later leave Periyar and drive to Kumarakom, upon arrival check in at hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure for own activities. Overnight stay at hotel

     

    Day 6: In Kumarakom

    After leisurely breakfast, explore various facilities at your hotel.

    Afternoon, embark the houseboat from the jetty for the scenic half day backwaters cruise of Vembanad Lake. The houseboat cruise takes you through the intricate maze of backwaters, mesmerizing and surprising you at every turn with its serene beauty & simple charm. Enjoy the countryside of Kerala at its best. Soak your eyes & soul with array of coconut trees & endless paddy fields. You will also get chance to take a small stroll through the villages & interact with the locals. Enjoy lunch onboard at houseboat. Evening back to your resort & rest. Overnight stay at hotel

     

    Day 7: Kumarakom – Cochin (75 Kms / 2 Hours)

    After leisurely breakfast, drive back to Cochin. Afternoon is free for shopping and stroll around Fort Kochi area. Overnight stay at hotel

     

    Day 8: Departure from Cochin

    After breakfast, transfer to Cochin International airport to board the flight for onward destination.
