The capital, renowned for its sumptuous decorations, lights up its grand boulevards with countless sparkles, while department store windows, such as those of Galeries Lafayette, amaze with their refinement and poetry. Stroll among elegant façades and warm cafés filled with delicate gourmet aromas. With every step, the city reveals a touch of its winter magic and splendour. A charming Parisian
interlude to fully enjoy before continuing your journey.
Gala evening. Paris by night cruise (1). City of light and royal jewel, Paris illuminates itself as night falls.
From the river, illuminated monuments and plays of light reveal all the splendour of the capital, enhanced by the gentle winter atmosphere.
Day 3: PARISIn the morning, included excursion: Opéra Garnier. A masterpiece of neo-baroque style designed by Charles Garnier, the building is adorned in all its winter splendour. You will discover the backstage areas of this temple of opera: the majestic marble staircases, gilded salons, richly decorated boxes, sometimes enhanced with subtle seasonal decorations. The Grand Foyer, inspired by the galleries of royal castles, shines with gilding and hosts during the festive season a magnificent, elegantly decorated Christmas tree, adding a touch of enchantment to the setting. You will then access the famous auditorium, where 2,000 red seats frame a legendary stage. Above it, the ceiling painted by Marc Chagall illuminates the space with a modern, dreamlike touch.
In the afternoon, included excursion: discovery of the Tuileries Christmas Market. Located in a prestigious setting between the Louvre and the Concorde, under sparkling garlands and illuminated trees, the wooden chalets welcome artisans and regional producers. You will stroll among decorations and original creations: wooden toys, jewellery, scented candles, and indulge in gourmet specialties: mulled wine, roasted chestnuts, crêpes, or traditional yule logs. Sit around the ice rink to watch skaters glide by, or take a ride on the Ferris wheel for a breathtaking view over the snow-dusted gardens.
